Our room is great, except for the fact that we don't get warm water. It is quite noisy 24/7 with all the traffic, by the way, the traffic is basically Atlanta traffic 24/7. Steve has been good as well. We don't have our schedules yet, but we attended small groups and they went well. Right now I'm at the 5 story mall with about 3 gazillion stores. Steve and I will hopefully be buying a SIM card for the phone tonight so that we can call you. Love, David
Today we went to teacher orientation and got a schedule for everyone's classes so I can post everyone's teaching time on the blog. The food is a risky adventure, because you never know what you're gonna get, the main places we get food are street vendors that make right on the street, it can be interesting. Bottled water is impossible not to come by, it is easily accessible at a very low price. My stomach has been fine, but the plane ride messed up my sleeping schedule a lot. What did Ben preach on? There ATM's around every corner in Bangkok, and they're in English (sometimes). We went to our leaders apartment, it was only 1 room with a bed and fridge inside it, these people are very poor compared to us. It's a 15 minute walk to Santisuk, and every time we walk past we go by a very smelly river that smells like feces. I'm so glad the packers won! I will try and post something as soon as I can on the blog. Love, David.
2/9 The teaching went great, no problems with teaching! But alot of the girls giggled--A Lot when I first walked in. Thanks for posting things on the blog, the internet cafe here has an awful internet connection. The food is okay, today though I had stir fried chicken mixed with cashews and rice, that was really good. A care package isn't necessary. I miss you all!!! David
Hey this is great! We miss you David! It's tough not having you here! Oh the giggling girls. This is hard to deal with but it's something not uncommon. Trying to ignore it is tough but the way I deal with this stuff is like this. Look at these girls like they are your sister. Yeah Grace may never laugh at your jokes or make flirty eyes with you but when you start treating them like sisters it goes better. Obviously you don't want to ignore them so try to be a good brother in Christ. David we all know you'll do great and you are making us proud! You are an awesome leader and I believe you can handle whatever is thrown at you as long as you have God on your side.
Remember God thinks of you as more than a conquer! Your better than Braveheart! Boo ya!
